DEXA Scan is now available at our Downers Grove and Naperville offices.
DEXA Scan stands for Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry. It is a method of bone mineral density assessment which is used to detect the presence of osteoporosis in men and women with particular risk factors, screen for osteoporosis, and predict future fracture risk. The test takes around 20 minutes and is done with the patient fully clothed.
