Deborah “Deb” Wenninger, PA-C was born in St Charles, IL. She spent the first 18 years of her life in Zambia, Africa where her parents worked in medical missions. She returned to the United States to attend Wheaton College for a BA in psychology graduating in 1992. She attended Central DuPage School of Surgical Technology and became a Certified Surgical Technologist in early 1994. After five years of full time work in surgery, Deb attended the Midwestern University Physician Assistant program. She received a Masters in Medical Science in 2001 and was the recipient of the Humanitarian Award for the class of 2001. 

Deb joined M&M Orthopaedics in May 2004. She has a special interest in treating children with orthopaedic problems. She continues to enjoy assisting in surgeries for both adults and children; however, her office hours are dedicated to children. Currently, Deb is the M&M site coordinator for the Prospective Pediatric and Adolescent Scoliosis Study submitting data for Dr. Kamal Ibrahim. She holds privileges at Good Samaritan Hospital, Hinsdale Hospital, Edward Hospital, Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, Rush Copley Medical Center, Naperville Surgical Centre, Midwest Center For Day Surgery, Salt Creek Surgery Center, The Center For Surgery, and Elmhurst Outpatient Surgery Center.

Deb enjoys being a guest lecturer at Midwestern University. She has lectured on the healthcare system in Zambia. She enjoys teaching the hands on labs, instructing in sterile technique, suturing and splint application. 

In her spare time, Deb enjoys gardening, woodworking and camping. In the future she hopes to obtain her pilot license. Currently, Deb volunteers at the Hesed House in Aurora which provides shelter and medical care to the homeless.
